Project “Мир”

Project МИР is a first-person shooter inspired by classic boomer shooters and early 2000s dark fantasy FPS games. It combines fast-paced gunplay with environmental storytelling, hidden areas, and an atmosphere shaped by Cold War paranoia and Romanian folklore.

You play as a Romanian representative of an Anti-supernatural elite, scattered across Europe that was  sent on his first mission to investigate occult doings in a village near Brasov, Viscri. What begins as a simple mission becomes, Banescu Flavian will find out that the  operation soon turns into a descent into castles, laboratories, and ancient ritual spaces where myth and history have been twisted into weapons.

The game focuses on:

• fast retro-style combat
• handcrafted levels
• exploration and secret hunting
• Soviet military and folklore-inspired enemies
• a dark, oppressive Eastern European atmosphere
  

Please note that this project is still in development and will be updated along the way. This is a master's thesis for Level Design on behalf of UNATC at Art of Game Design
